Spaceman Bob was the first act of the night, the show was theatrical and structured as a hypothetical trip through the cosmos, stopping on different planets, each one being the home for a different song.
They’ve got the attitude of Rage with the sound of the Beastie Boys. The music is up tempo guitar and drums, think B.O.B. by OutKast. The songs are politically charged and left leaning. They played fast and angry. Their energy was sky high and infectious. Bob (the vocalist) was relentlessly jumping and bouncing around the stage. The drummer and guitarist were rocking out.
I’m not sure the entire crowd was there to see Spaceman Bob, but all of us were fans by the end.
Human Issue was the second act. I think they were political as well, but more metal and punk.
Leftover Crack was the headliner, but they took forever to get on stage (40+ minutes after Human Issue ended) and I was exhausted from a long weekend so I left before they started (this is also the reason for the spartan write up of Human Issue).
