Tilian, Amarionette, Autumn Kings - 11/16/24 - Fresno, CA - Strummer's

Autumn Kings put on a spirited performance at Strummer's last night. The four piece band consisting of a vocalist, guitar/vocalist, bass, and drummer got the night off to a rocking start with their high octane stage presence and up tempo music. At times they sounded like an emo band and at other times they sounded like a hard rock band. But the comparison that seems most fitting is Linkin Park, with rapped verses and anthemic choruses. Particularly impressive was guitarist Jake Diab, who was rapping while simultaneously playing guitar.

Amarionette followed up after Autumn Kings, providing the audience with a more laid back experience. Listening to them evoked thoughts of 90s R&B and funky math rock, and their vocalist could have been mistaken for Michael Jackson or Bruno Mars.

Tilian closed the night out, with a bassist named Brock who was absolutely shredding. The guitarist was pretty good as well, and Tilian himself was able to hit some absurdly high notes while singing.
